Theatre Re is looking for a talented, committed and reliable professional percussionist to join the team of the touring show ‘The Nature of Forgetting’. This is a paid opportunity.
About Theatre Re:
“Theatre Re excels at transforming small, intimate stories into whirling, viscerally physical extravagance.” What’s On Stage

About 'The Nature of Forgetting':
At the intersection of art and science, 'The Nature of Forgetting' bursts with creativity, joy, and heartache. Collaborating with London neuroscientist Kate Jeffery, Theatre Re has created a moving articulation of the countless dimensions of memory and amnesia, linking science with real life experiences.
Through movement of great physicality and compelling live music, 'The Nature of Forgetting' is the story of Tom- a middle aged father struggling in the early stages of dementia. The piece, and Tom’s memories, are a life-affirming journey into a weakened mind, where broken does not have to mean defeated. A journey of shining humanity and celebration of a life well lived.
The Nature of Forgetting (commissioned by London International Mime Festival, The Point and South Hill Park) achieved sell-out runs at LIMF'17, Latitude and the EdFringe 2017 (British Council Showcase, ThreeWeeks Editor's Award Winner).
In 2018 the show toured to Brazil and Peru, followed by a UK tour to 13 cities (27 shows) including The Leeds Playhouse, The Lowry, Tobacco Factory Theatres and Brighton Festival (Worthing Theatre). In the Autumn 2018, the show toured the East Coast of the US for 5 weeks. In 2019, the show toured to Seoul, Hong Kong, New York, Taiwan, Mexico and across the midwest of the US.
