New classes for the Autumn will be announced shortlly.

LONDON, Shoreditch Town Hall

Theatre Re's monthly Sunday professional classes are returning to Shoreditch Town Hall for the fourth consecutive year!

Rooted in Theatre Re’s training and creative process, sessions will focus on conditioning the body in preparation for: rigorous training, Corporeal Mime repertoire and technique, as well as improvisation and composition inspired by the company’s current projects.

Whether you are a seasoned professional performer wanting to enhance your physical presence and the specificity of your actions on stage, a newcomer to the theatre looking for a specific technique to ground your explorations, or an artist in need of a fresh approach to making, participants will develop their skills and creativity in an open, playful and generous environment.

Sessions will be led by Guillaume Pigé (Theatre Re Director and RADA Associate Teacher) and Claudia Marciano (Theatre Re Performer and Teacher). No previous experience in Corporeal Mime is needed to join, only your curiosity, playfulness and desire to learn!

Week-long Intensive 'Beginnings' - London

10am to 5pm each day
5 day workshop - Going on sale shortly
This workshop will be BSL Interpreted and fully accessible do d/Deaf Artists.

LONDON, Shoreditch Town Hall

In post-show discussions, we are often asked, where do we start and what comes first - movement or music?

In this one-week intensive we will take participants through the beginnings of our unique process of making visually striking theatre with original live music. We will share how the work starts and how it evolves. Throughout the week we will train and play as an ensemble and, we will devise work with music being composed live in the room.

Drawing on the Corporeal Mime vocabulary and technique, participants will learn how to uncover and play with physical details to enhance their performance skills, develop new material, and push the boundaries of what theatre, without a playwright, can do. They will also learn how to respond to a live musician discovering the balance of how to lean into and challenge the music.

Each day will begin with physical conditioning and will then progress towards training and technique, culminating in the opportunity to devise a short presentation true to the Theatre Re process.
Suitable for professional and semi-professional performers, actors and performers in training, young graduates, university theatre students, visual artists.
This workshop will be led by Guillaume Pigé (Theatre Re Artistic Director), Claudia Marciano (Theatre Re Performer and Teacher) and Henry Webster (Theatre Re Composer and Musician).
