READY Training Programme for Educational Establishments
Training, participation and outreach is a core element of our work.
We work regularly with schools, colleges, universities & independent training institutions to delvelop relevant training that focuses on devising and Corporeal Mime technique. Theatre Re’s workshops are designed to support learning and qualifications in drama, dance and contemporary performing arts at Levels 1, 2, 3, undergraduate and postgraduate study.
Our workshops can be delivered in a variety of formats, from one-off session to regular classes across a term. All of our learning activities are inclusive and tailored to the group we are working with, so every workshop is different.

"We wanted to broaden participants' understanding of what making theatre can look like, and given them a taste of how a company collaborates to create performance. This was a new way of working for the young people and Guillaume was fantastic at supporting them to learn new techniques in a way that they found engaging, whilst also instilling a really strong team ethos that improved communication and ensemble skills."

Our training programmes aim to unlock creativity and develop collaborative and performance skills through :
- Discovering and using a specific movement language: Corporeal Mime
- Creating physical and visual original performance pieces
- Exploring the principle of the reverse metaphor by writing with movement, space and rhythm first
- Stimulating imagination and developing a taste for non-naturalistic work
- Giving students improvisation experience, using theatre conventions to construct their work whilst considering both form and narrative
- Building ways to communicate meaning and artistic intention through development of performance skills
- Engaging with all aspects of the theatre-making process (music, light, set, costume, props)
- Connecting with other artistic disciplines and traditions as well as non-artistic practices
- Discussing self-producing and empowering young people to make their own work through understanding the methodology of a practitioner
